    Kariya Park
    Situated in the centre of Mississauga, Kariya Park was created in honour of twin-city relationship with Kariya, Japan. The distinct vegetation includes the lavender Iris laevigata (Kariya's official city flower), gingko and sweetgum trees. This small park is open seven days a week.

    Lakefront Promenade Park
    This large park (more than 40 hectares/104 acres) is dedicated to wildlife preservation and outdoor recreation. A playground, boardwalk and cycling paths are just some of the fabulous features of Lakefront Promenade.

    Rattray Marsh Conservation Area

    Situated by the waterfront west of Southdown Road, this environmental site is home to abundant plant life, birds and small creatures. Visitors may explore the area on the self-guided nature trails, take copious pictures or indulge in bird watching, which changes by the season. There is limited parking, but walkers can access the marsh through Jack Darling Municipal Park.

    Mississauga Garden Park
    This over 160 acres of woodlands, meadows, historic buildings and valley slopes is set in the core of city. Unique vegetation, the Credit River, trails and tranquility are all a part of the area.

    Streetsville Memorial Park
    Located in the historic Streetsville area of Mississauga, this park offers many recreational opportunities. Soccer fields, softball diamonds, an outdoor pool and several picnic spots are just some of the amenities. Every year in June, the park hosts the Bread and Honey Festival.

    Erindale Park
    Erindale Park features space for all-ages activities, including trails for walking, skiing and cycling, playgrounds and a toboggan hill. Several picnic sites are on the location. An exceptional place to view the salmon run in late August/mid-September is under the Burnhamthorpe Road bridge at the north end of the park.

    Rhododendron Gardens
    A popular photo backdrop in the summer, these gardens are colourful and interesting. During the months of May until mid June, take a stroll through the blooming hybrid Rhododendrons, which are both rare and exquisite. Picnic facilities and washrooms are on site.

    Meadowvale Conservation Area
    This large park area has flat open spaces for game-playing, fishing spots, three picnic areas, barbecues and a nature trail. It's a popular recreation area on warm days.

    The Millennium Grove within Dunn Park
    Devoted to promoting knowledge of trees indigenous to Southern Ontario, Millennium Grove is home to over 70 species. The trees encompass 1.23 hectares (3 acres) of land, yet there is still room for the open areas and valley.
